What belongs in a mock examiner packet
Building a mock examiner packet for fintech licensing follow-ups — which evidence to include, what to leave out, and how to rehearse ownership.
A mock examiner packet is not a second policies folder. It is a timed answer to the questions already written in your notice or checklist. If the packet cannot be navigated in under a minute per topic, the dry run will expose that before the real visit does.
Start from the notice
Index every request. Against each line, place the exact artifact — reconciliation extract, exception log, board minute — not a narrative about where it “usually” lives. Gaps become findings for your internal remediation list.
Name an owner for every tab
Examiners ask people, not binders. Each tab should list a primary and a deputy. Rehearse the handoff when the primary is in another meeting. Audits for fintech operators in Taiwan often stumble when the settlement owner is unavailable and no deputy can speak to the same batch.
Leave the strategy deck out
Mission slides and product roadmaps rarely answer control questions. They consume table space and attention. Keep the packet lean: evidence, ownership, and a short cover note explaining how the tabs map to the notice.
Our Regulatory Examination Dry Run follows this structure so management practices the visit they will actually face.
