Refund and cancellation policy — Oak Ledger Standards

Last updated: 28 July 2026

Scope

This policy applies to professional audit and assessment engagements booked with Oak Ledger Standards, including payment control reviews, ledger integrity audits, examination dry runs, reconciliation assessments, monitoring control audits, and remediation checks. This website does not process payments; fees are invoiced under an engagement letter.

Refund eligibility

Fees are refundable only as described below and in your engagement letter. Complimentary scoping calls carry no fee and no refund.

Timeframe

Written cancellation or refund requests must be sent to hello@datasecurityhub.digital. We confirm receipt within two business days.

Full or partial refunds

  • Before fieldwork begins and more than fourteen days after fee acceptance: Unused professional fees paid in advance may be refunded in full, less any non-refundable deposit stated in the engagement letter.
  • Within fourteen days of scheduled fieldwork or after document-room work has started: Fees for work already performed (including preparation and sampling design) are non-refundable. Unused remaining fees may be partially refunded at our discretion, typically pro-rated against completed stages.
  • After delivery of the findings letter or confirmation letter: Fees for completed engagements are non-refundable.

Non-refundable items

Non-refundable deposits (where specified), costs for travel already incurred with your approval, and fees for stages marked complete in the engagement schedule are not refundable.

Refund process and timing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within fourteen business days of written approval. Bank processing times may add additional days.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may reschedule fieldwork once without penalty if you give at least ten business days’ notice and we can accommodate the new dates. Shorter notice may incur a rescheduling fee of up to twenty percent of the engagement fee to cover reviewer calendar disruption. Repeated no-shows or failure to provide requested documents after two written reminders may be treated as cancellation by you, with fees for work performed due.

Deposits

Some engagements require a deposit to reserve reviewer dates. The engagement letter states whether the deposit is credited to the final invoice and whether any portion is non-refundable.

No-shows

If agreed on-site days are missed without notice, time reserved may be charged as performed work.

Work already started

Once sampling design, document review, or interviews have begun, those stages are billable even if you later cancel remaining stages.

Purchased materials

We do not sell physical products. Printed working papers prepared for your engagement remain practice records unless counsel requests copies under the engagement terms; there is no retail return.

Exceptions

Statutory rights under Taiwanese law that cannot be waived remain available. Engagement letters may set stricter notice periods for examination dry runs tied to fixed regulator dates.
